Nita Sinaga

BIO

Nita Sinaga is a U.S.-based composer and arranger who grew up in Indonesia, an experience that continues to shape her musical perspective. She holds a Master’s degree in Studio Jazz Writing from the University of Miami and an MBA from California Lutheran University, and earned a double major in Music and Business from the University of Oregon.

She has been selected for programs including the Henry Mancini Institute, the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop, and SESAC Scores: The Beck Diversity Project, and has been a finalist in the jazz category of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest.

As an arranger, she has contributed extensively to the Angel City Chorale, focusing on choral and crossover repertoire. Her work has recently won the Berlin Prize from the Astor Piazzolla Composition Competition. She is currently expanding her work in composition for concert and media.
